5 Pro Betting Tips to Win More Off Of Football

If you are a long-time fan of football, it is very likely that you have built enough of a library of knowledge about the game to fill a book. Especially for those who watch several different leagues, having enough knowledge of how well different teams play can be a great boon if you want to try and make some money betting on games.

Unfortunately, the huge amount of variables to a game can make it impossible to predict the outcome of a game. Even the most obvious matchups can end up in a draw that no one expected, making it a risky endeavor for even the most dedicated of fans. Having a few tips under your belt can make the whole process a lot more painless and (hopefully) a lot more profitable!

Phone Apps

These days the number one tip anyone should give you is to use mobile betting apps. Unlike the traditional brick-and-mortar stores of old, betting apps will frequently offer free bets and with the wide range of apps out there at your fingertips, there are hundreds of different markets to bet on and many aspects of matches you might not have known you could bet on.

Corners

A great way to make some reasonably reliable money is to bet on corners. This is fairly new to the football gambling scene and this shows in how much you can turn the bet your way. If you follow a few specific teams and pay close attention to their attacking tactics and keep track of how many corners they get per game, you can build up a decent profile of each team.

Using this data and checking which players are in play and what the weather is like on the day, you can make extremely well-educated guesses as to how many corners might be granted to your chosen team and put your bet up right before the games start.

Don’t Go Big

It might be tempting to drop a huge amount of your budget on one bet you are sure about, but statistically, it is much more likely that you win more money faster by placing many small bets. Sure, with a huge bet you might win a massive amount of money back, but every bet is risky, and the more money on the line, the riskier it is.

Follow the Matches

A more obvious tip is to make sure you are connected enough to follow many matches at once. The more simultaneous bets you have at once, the more chance you have of winning one, which is especially useful if teams you know a lot about are playing. Finding websites that feature free football widgets like standings of live matches can be one of the best steps you take, as they will allow you to track multiple games at once to find an opportunity to bet live.

Accumulator Bets

Another fairly recent type of betting is where you bet on the outcome of a series of matches. These bets simply need you to bet on the outcome of a series of games (anywhere from around 5 games to entire seasons). The winnings on these will often stack multiplicatively, resulting in huge winnings from extremely small bets, and with enough knowledge about the teams in play, you can fairly often win big.

These are the EU Countries Most Obsessed With Football

Football is an extremely popular sport in Europe, possibly even the most popular. In Europe, there are 17.3 million people who are registered to play football and the sport gets 548.1 million views. In Europe, people grow up playing football in their back garden and most schools and universities in Europe have hugely popular football teams. It is a popular activity for parents to enroll their children to learn a new skill whilst also staying fit. Football games are played with a 68cm spherical ball, it is played by 2 teams of eleven and the game has two forty-five-minute halves with a 15-minute break in between.

The aim of the game is to kick the ball into the opposing teams net to score a point, whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins. The team is split in different positions for the players, the goalkeeper is the only player who is allowed to touch the ball with their hands and it’s their job to protect the net so no points are scored. The defenders assist the goalie by blocking any opposing team players from getting close enough to the net to try and score a goal.  The midfielders play in the middle of the field and they have to do both, assist the defenders, and also help set up goals for their own team to score. The strikers play at the opposite end of the pitch and they tend to be the goal scorers.

How to Get Match Fit for Your Next Soccer Tournament

Fitness is crucial when it comes to participating in a soccer tournament, in order to play to the very best of your ability you should take certain precautions prior to playing to ensure you are at peak fitness. Fitness isn’t just about physical strength and what many don’t know is that playing soccer requires a high level of endurance in order to be played effectively, as players are required to be active for a significant period of time during the soccer match it is important to do workouts that help train the body’s stamina rather than focussing on building physical strength. Below are a number of helpful tips that will help any soccer player prepare for their next match and avoid injury.

Building Endurance

Physical endurance is very important when it comes to preparing for your next soccer tournament, if a player has not taken the time to increase their stamina through cardio workouts then they would be running the risk of fatigue early on in the match. It is a common misconception that physical strength is more important than having the stamina to be active for a long time period but this simply isn’t the case, without implementing cardio workouts into your fitness routine you will find that you cannot keep up with other players on the field and your overall performance will be affected.

Cardio workouts may not train the muscles that everyone desires so much, but the benefits to your respiratory system and overall health are unlike any other fitness regime. Building endurance has been proven to improve a soccer player’s overall performance so it is definitely something you should implement into your pre-match routine to ensure you are playing to the best of your ability.

Diet and Healthy Eating

Another factor to consider when it comes to preparing for your next soccer tournament would be to ensure you are eating properly, your diet contributes to your general health and wellbeing, and without a balanced meal, you will find that you are inadequately prepared for extreme exercise. If you are playing soccer professionally you should already be aware of the importance of a balanced diet and know which foods you should be avoiding. Prior to the match, I would recommend a diet that is rich in protein and fruit or vegetables to adequately prepare the body and ensure your muscles are getting everything they need in terms of nutritional value. Your meal on the day of your next match should consist of high energy foods and carbohydrates to keep the body fueled for intensive exercise.

Avoiding Injury

In order to maintain your professional sporting career, you will need to take every available step to avoid injury during a match, an injury can have disastrous effects on a professional soccer player and can result in many missed matches before being allowed back onto the pitch. Prior to your next soccer tournament, you should take the necessary steps to prepare your body, warming up is vital to retaining your fitness and ensuring you can participate in future events as it is less strenuous on the body. Some common injuries soccer players experience on a regular basis include, spraining of joints, bruising, and in more serious cases fractures and breaking of bones. In these instances, a player would be forced to sit out of future matches for a while which could affect team morale and the player’s own personal career, with this in mind you should be doing all you can do to avoid injuries and preserve your health.

Rest and Relaxation

One of the most important ways to get fit for your next soccer match would be to take the necessary time to recuperate and relax after what can be a very brutal match. This harsh form of exercise can have a negative impact on your mental and physical health so ensuring you give yourself the time to recover is one of the most important things you can do to keep fit. Within any form of physical exercise, the recovery is just as important as the workout to ensure you are not pushing your body too hard and risking injury.

A Basic Training Guide for the Tour de France

Although this year’s Tour de France is already underway and close to announcing this year’s winner, those training for next year’s entry has already begun their intense preparations. This year’s Tour de France runs from Nice to Paris, and begins on the 29th of August and is due to end on the 20th of September. The race, which this year lasts twenty-three days, is 2,162 miles long, or 3,479.4 kilometers. The Tour de France is not a race to take part in lightly, and almost everyone who does compete is a professional athlete. To compete, these are the most basic training steps an athlete should take to prepare for the mammoth task that is Le Tour de France.

Choose your team wisely

The Tour de France is not a solo endeavor, not in the slightest. If an athlete wants the best chance at winning the Tour de France title, they need to choose their team wisely. Training for the Tour de France begins almost as the current one ends. This means by the end of September, professional athletes are already preparing for the next year’s challenge, even after just competing in the race. The Tour de France is professional for a reason, and that’s because all your time is dedicated to preparing and training.

Choosing a team should be based on different strengths as the Tour de France route will utilize those skills throughout the challenge. At different points speed will be challenged, endurance, uphill cycles, and patience throughout. Each team of eight should cater to all the route has to throw at them so their chance at beating the trail, and winning overall, is as high as possible.

Plan your team’s training in advance

Riding the Tour de France is not just about speed or endurance. It is about physiology, metabolism, strength, cardio, and preparing one’s body for a grueling experience.

When starting training for the Tour de France, teams should focus on building a solid base. This means regular activity at low intensity to prepare the body for repetitive motions, building on technique, and allowing the boy to adjust to what it will undergo. The constant activity means calories are being burnt quickly. Riders need to adjust their diets accordingly otherwise they won’t have the energy or strength to compete. Athletes need a diet that has high caloric intake but also revolves around sustaining muscle.

While diet will change with training, this first step is crucial to Tour de France training.

Finding the right bike

Of course, one of the most crucial points for the Tour de France is having the right bike. According to bikize, the amount of exercise a bike in the Tour de France will get is immense, so undoubtedly, having the correct bike is crucial in aiding a win of the Tour de France.

With each of these in mind; choosing a team wisely, planning training and diet in advance, and picking the right equipment to see your team through the Tour de France, these basic steps will see you through at the start of your training for Le Tour de France.

4 Sports You Should Consider Trying in 2021

Taking part in more sporting activities is always a good idea, not only does it have benefits for your body and general health, but getting out and playing a sport with others has been scientifically proven to improve mental health. Playing more sports also encourages you to spend more time outside and away from the confines of your home, after the struggles that we have faced this year, spending more time taking part in sports is definitely going to be a good idea to improve on our overall wellness.

Swimming

Swimming is one of the only sports that works the entire body as you do it, with all the health benefits swimming has as a cardio workout it makes sense to give it a try. Swimming can be done in a variety of ways, you could visit the public pool and do a few laps, visit your nearest beach or lake or join a professional swimming team. By joining a team you are not only ensuring you are doing regular exercise but, you are also opening yourself up to new opportunities and the possibility of forming friendships with like-minded people.

Going for a run can be a social experience as well as a chance to spend some time outdoors, with the health benefits of spending time outside and running, it is no surprise that this sport has remained so popular amongst people of all ages.

Shooting

With all the issues we have faced in 2020, it is my prediction that the number of people spending time outdoors will increase on a  drastic level, outdoor sporting activities are going to increase in popularity, with sports like shooting appealing to an older demographic due to the less strenuous nature of the activity. Clay pigeon shooting, in particular, is a sport that is loved by many, with benefits like increasing hand-eye coordination this sport has a lot of mentally beneficial effects as well as physical. If you are someone looking to get started in the world of shooting, it may be a good idea to look into purchasing a scope for your gun to help improve your aim, ConsumerEpic.com has a range of reviews on long-range scopes to help with your purchase.

These Are The 6 Highest Paying Sports Worldwide

We all know money in sports varies dramatically. Some players earn enough in a year to set them up for life while others need to supplement their income with another job to pay rent. These six sports are very well paid and it’s due to the sport is the most popular. If more people pay to see the games then more stadiums get sold out and bigger stadiums are built. I should add, these sports are worldwide. If you need to transfer money abroad, maybe to get a friend to book tickets for a big sports event, I’d recommend plutuspocket.

Football

So, one of the highest paying sports in the world is our American Football. A number of our players reach Forbes richest people list and it’s no secret why. I’m always going to games and am always taken aback by the sheer amount of love and support people have for the game. Stadiums are always full of screaming fans. Also, the sport has the highest-paid managers. In 2004, Peyton Manning became the third richest man on Forbes’ list with $42 million.

Tennis

The second highest paying sport in the world is tennis. This is surprising because the likelihood of a tennis player becoming a professional is extremely low. But once they reach the big leagues, a large payout definitely becomes an option. Both women and men can earn huge sums in the sport but players in the ranking that are between 200 and 2,000 may make absolutely nothing at all. It’s astonishing. For the big tournaments, the winners will take eighteen percent of the prize money out of the 128 players that qualify. And this doesn’t even include product advertisement which is a huge part of the sports industry. The highest-paid tennis players include Andy Murray, Roger Federer, and Serena Williams.

Golf

The third highest-paid sport is golf. I’ve never really understood golf. It seems like a lot of rich people wandering around the grass. But like I say, they’re rich. As are the competitive players, like Tiger Woods. Forbes has listed him as the most successful athlete ever for being in the Forbes annual list a grand total of eleven times. That’s one rich guy! In 2002, it was reported he had $69 million.

Ice Hockey

The fourth highest-paid sport is, of course, Ice Hockey. It’s a very physically demanding game and players need to be on top form in terms of conditioning and fitness. The average earnings for players are between $1.54 million and $3.54 million. I’ve seen some hideous ice hockey-related injuries in my time. They deserve every nickel.

Soccer

The fifth highest paying sport in the world is soccer. Our European cousins across the water seem to love this game and by looking at the amount players can earn, it’s easy to see why. Players like David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney, and so many others get a huge sum of money from the game. Beckham is retired and even he still makes loads through advertisements alone. In the sports world, many stars earn less in a year than these high up football players make in a week. It’s mind-blowing. Now, these salaries depend upon a lot of things: the deals the club owners have negotiated for them, various tax systems, and the team they play for. There’s also more money to be earned by scoring more goals and again, through various advertisements. Many earn millions of dollars a year.

Basketball

The last highest-paid sport on the list is basketball. In Lebron James’ sixteen years, he earned $540 million. He’s the highest-paid player in the sport, earning roughly $92 million a year, breaking world records.

How Baseball Became The Great American Pastime

It’s hard to go anywhere in America these days without being smacked in the face with baseball merchandise. Every city has a baseball team that they love an almost alarming amount, so much so that they invest millions into their teams every year. Every city wants to be the best in baseball and so they will buy the best players, upgrade their stadiums, and do anything to keep their adoring fans happy. Say the word baseball in any bar in any city and you’re bound to start some sort of riot, usually between Yankee and Sox fans. It’s obvious that baseball has engraved itself into American culture and it shows no sign of going anywhere anytime soon. But, just how did baseball become the great American pastime that everyone cherishes today?

The History

If you look back historically, then it is easy to see why the sport is held so dearly to the average American. People label baseball as the first professionally played sport in America, due to the establishment of the National American Leagues in 1871.  Other sports like soccer and basketball were not played professionally until the turn of the 20th century, and so baseball has had a position in our culture for far longer, meaning that it is understandable that people resonate with the sport so much.  Due to its position as one of the only professional sports available to play, baseball managed to gain a huge following from its early established days. Everyone wanted to take part, and so they did.

The Sport

The game itself, depending on what level you play at, is extremely inclusive. The rules are pretty straightforward and depending on how big your pitch is, the game isn’t necessarily too athletic. There are hundreds of leagues that match the capability group of any kind of baseball fan. From children that enjoy the game, dads who want a bit of time with their friends or just someone who is looking for some fun competitive sports, this game is perfect for anyone. This is one of the reasons that the game has continued to be so popular throughout the years, as it is something an entire family can take part in. Plus, it’s not a game that is hard to be good at if you do all of the necessary research and practice, there are plenty of sites online that provide handy tips on how to really make the most of the game. It’s always a good idea to turn to the Baseball Bible when you are looking for some advice on how to play the game to the best of your ability, sometimes getting the right equipment can really help you out so looking at these handy sites can make playing the game a lot easier.

The culture that surrounds baseball has also helped it stay very prevalent in society. Nothing brings America together more than the upcoming world series, even if you support opposing teams, it’s easy to get on with someone that loves your favorite sport just as much as you do. There is nothing more American than adorning your team’s colors, meeting up with your friends, and watching the game. America’s commercial sector also makes the most of this, businesses decorate their buildings based on their local team and sell beloved merchandise that everyone displays proudly.  The baseball season really brings every city to life with excitement, it provides a sense of community that really brings everyone together, so what is not to love?

Attending a baseball game is bound to get you hooked on the entire sport, even if you’re someone who doesn’t really care about the game. The atmosphere is absolutely electric, with the sound of cheering crowds and salesmen flogging merch and greasy food, being on a game is a great way to bond with people you have never met before and is an environment unlike any that you have ever been in before. It only gets better as the game goes on, as people make or lose out on home runs the crowd shifts in feeling and gets rowdy. This may seem intimidating to someone looking in on the game, but when you are part of this feeling, there is nowhere else you would rather be.

Americans also hold the sport so dearly because it is arguably their sport. No other country in the world engages with baseball more than the Americans, and so they take a sense of pride in this notion and attempt to be as fanatical as possible about their beloved sport. It’s just a part of the American identity, America would not be America without its love of baseball. It has been a large part of the lives of everyone that lives in America and for some, it would be difficult to imagine their lives without it, that’s why it is the great American pastime.

Why 2020 is the Perfect Year to Start Running

We all could do with spending a bit more of our time on exercise. With the year well and truly started, many of us may have missed our chance to hold onto our fitness-related New Years Resolutions, but it’s never too late to try again. If you want to live your best life, it’s probably worth investing some time and effort into improving your physical health. One of the easiest exercises you can begin to incorporate into your daily routine is running. All you need to get started is a pair of running shoes and you’re off (literally). Part of the beauty of running is that it’s dynamic; You don’t necessarily have to wait for the perfect weather to do it. You can either choose to run outdoors and explore your town or you can incorporate it into your time at the gym and run in place on a treadmill. There’s no better time than now to break out a sweat and to start working on a new and better you.

What Are the Benefits?

You may be wanting to do more If you’re somebody that spends a lot of time indoors or at home, it can be a good idea for you to start doing some exercise outside. Running is a great way to get fit and going on a run in the forest or another scenic location could also have some benefits for your mental health as well as your physical health. Exercise has been proven to release certain ‘happy’ hormones like endorphins in your brain. So, even scientists would recommend it. Running is also excellent for strengthening your muscles and improving your cardiovascular health (in short it’s great for keeping your heart pumping regularly). If you’re looking for more information on the health benefits you can gain from taking up running, healthline has an in-depth account of a number of other benefits on its website. Many people don’t realize that running is actually an excellent exercise if you’re hoping to improve your core strength. If you commit yourself to sprints you’ll be sure to feel it in your obliques.

How Do I Get Started?

Well to get started with running, you’re first going to need to invest in a decent pair of trainers. Don’t worry about blowing all your money on the latest pair of overpriced trainers when you don’t have to. Just make sure they’re comfortable and fit well and you can’t really go wrong. If you’re wanting to start running but you’re not sure where to start you can find countless sites online, like runningandmiles, that can give you advice on everything you’ll need to know to get yourself moving. From smartwatches to all the best running apps, you’ll find advice on topics for runners of every level. It’s probably worth making sure you have a decent pair of earphones. Listening to your favorite music while you run can help make the run feel easier. It may also make your run more enjoyable.

Where Do I Go From Here?

That’s the beauty of running. Literally anywhere. Once you decide where you want to go, there’s nothing stopping you. Your only limit is yourself. It may seem difficult at first and you may not be running as fast or for as long as you may have hoped you would, but with enough time, practice and consistency, you’ll be surprised at how far your legs will be able to take you. Just create a playlist of your favorite running tracks (you can adjust the genre for the different intensities of each run you’re planning on) to help you get started and you’re off.

Good luck!

9 Sports Innovations that Changed the Athletic World

Sports have been around about as long as civilization itself. In all that time you would expect there to be some pretty hefty improvements. Well, my friend, you are not wrong. So what are some of the most significant sports innovations that have been discovered over the last millennia? Here are a fun and somewhat informative list of some of the most significant innovations that helped make sports that little bit easier for all of us.

Sports Drinks

Have you ever found yourself desperately searching for a Lucozade or another garishly colored sports drink? Well, you’re not alone. Since their inception, these isotonic, scientifically created sports drinks have been seen in the sports bag of any number of athletes. Considering they claim to replenish lost fluids and help to ensure you don’t lose too much fluid, it’s clear why they’re such a popular choice.

Oranges

Less of massive innovation and more of a fun unwritten rule of sports teams. How many times have you seen your favorite sports team on the bench munching on an orange? You may have answered never, but let us tell you, they definitely do it. You would think oranges held some kind of enhancing power – well maybe they do. But they’re certainly something that played a part in many young athletes’ lives.

Sports Bras

Okay, ladies, this one is for us. But, how did female athletes ever exist in a world without sports bras? They are an absolute necessity to the majority of female athletes across the world and for good reason. Helping to ease some of the pain of sporting, they’re a key invention in many female athletes’ lives, and with sites like gymshark offering all kinds of different sports bras, we’re spoilt for choice!

Memory Foam Soles

Potentially overlooked and maybe not used by every athlete, but have you ever taken a run in a pair of these bad boys? We can tell you from personal experience that it feels like you’re running on a cloud. If you’re more of a long-distance or high0intensity runner, trust us – your feet will thank you.

Exercise Machines

Most of us use them without a second thought, but many of us forget that these were an innovation. The complicated machines we hop onto to get our dream summer bod was the idea of some clever people. People that wanted to switch up the exercise experience for everybody. Do you want to run for miles whilst not going anywhere? Boom, treadmill. Fantastic.

Compression Socks

While it may be overlooked, an absolute godsend for athletes in the running or hiking field, this article on compression socks can tell you all of the reasons why you should invest in a decent pair for yourself. These little miracles have been designed to help prevent injury and ensure your best performance.

Cryogenic Rejuvenation

More of a recent development from what we can gather, but over the last few years, there seems to be a rise in athletes recovering in cryogenic sort of pods. The cold is supposed to help heal the muscles and improve the body’s resistance.

Saunas

Cryogenic’s hotter, older brother, saunas have been around for a long time, but for good reason. There are lots to be said about the relieving effects of a sauna. From relaxing the muscles to calming the mind. It has been proven a favorite of many athletes over the years.

Olympics

Probably the most important innovation for athletes has been the creation of the Olympics. A place to celebrate athletes from all fields of sport in one place and to watch them compete against the best athletes from all over the world is a stroke of genius and a must-see event for people everywhere!

The 3 Most Unusual Sports with Balls

Sports in general have become increasingly popular all over the world as a form of entertainment, fitness and some even choose to do these sports professionally. Mainstream sports have always been popular but there are some more unusual options out there which are great for building teamwork skills, fitness and are just a general great way of getting out of the house. Joining sports teams are great ways to learn about a sport that you have been wanting to get into, it doesn’t matter if you are naturally fit or what skill level you are on, sports are a great way of maintaining your health and having some fun.

10 Pin Bowling

A less conventional sport that uses balls would have to be 10 pin bowling, this sport is very popular and is a great sport to play with family and friends. It can get very competitive but this only increases the fun factor. There are many ways that you can get into this sport, bowling kits are available to purchase from many different retailers and for a reasonable price so you can take this fun sport and bring it into your home. This is a great sport for those rainy winter days. Rather than go to the cinema you can go to the 10-pin bowling with your friends, grab a lunch and have a blast knocking down those pins.

There are bowling alleys in every city across the US for this sport, so you can easily visit your local bowling alley. Also, with many of them offering deals should you visit during the week or for students and children you can have fun without breaking the bank which I think we can all agree is a positive. The biggest thing to be aware of is that if you are left handed then you’ll probably need to get your own bowling ball, as most alleys won’t have a left handed option for you.

Ping Pong

Ping Pong really is a classic game that everyone has at least had a go at, whether it be at school, at the pub or in your uni dorm i feel confident in saying that we’ve all had a go and had some fun playing this sport. Ping Pong has grown increasingly popular due to its intense high coverage in the olympic games. This is another very competitive sport which can make for hours and hours of fun. For larger groups I would recommend having a tournament to see who is the best.

This sport can be considered to be just as skill dependent as tennis as it requires speed, hand eye coordination and highly tuned reflexes. Obviously you don’t have to take it too seriously and I would say that the most important factor is that you are having fun but, should you wish to go down a more professional route with ping pong you may find it useful to join a club or a team and entering tournaments is a great way to get a feel for the process works in professional sporting and how good you really have to be.

Rounders

We all remember playing rounders in school, those hot summer days spent running around the field having fun and trying to catch out your opponents. Why not relive those childhood memories and get yourself a bat and ball, a group of family and friends and get yourself playing a big game of rounders. Rounders as a game has lost its popularity in recent years, this is possibly down to the fact that we rarely see any coverage in today’s media around rounder as a professional sport. There are many teams out there available to join for a complete range of ages. It is just knowing where to look for them.

The game consists of a batter, backstop, bowler and fielders – the batting team works to hit the ball away from the bowler and fielding team and make it around the home markers before the opposing team has chance to get you out by tapping you or the markers before you have made it around all of the bases or declared yourself safe before capture. The game is built upon a point system depending on which team is the better batters and is great fun for all involved especially on a hot summer’s day.
