Kayak - Whitewater Fundamentals (Pool intensive + Canoe U weekend)Are you unable to commit to both weekends of Canoe U? Do you love the smell of chlorine in the morning? Do you want to learn how to kayak in a safe and friendly environment? Than Rapids Riders has the answer for you! This year we will be offering a pool intensive Whitewater Fundamentals course as an alternative for those who would prefer to participate only in the first weekend of Canoe U. The course will consist of 5 pool sessions (must attend at least 4) and the goal of the pool sessions is to learn safety skills, the basic strokes, as well as the eskimo roll in preparation for a great weekend on the river for Canoe U.Cost: $245 per person (Subtract $30 if you are an ACA Member)

Kayak - Whitewater RefresherThe two-day kayak refresher course provides returning students a whitewater tune-up in the form of two fun-filled days to work on improving stoke effectiveness and making successful ferries, peel outs, eddy turns and S-turns on moderately challenging whitewater. The course will help build your competency and confidence for the coming season.Cost: $145 per person (Subtract $30 if you are an ACA Member)

Kayak - Whitewater ContinuumIf you feel comfortable in class II water and are ready to work on precision and boat control, this class is for you. Expect to work on attains and make Class III maneuvers on Class II water, dropping decisively into those micro eddies. River time will be geared towards improving water reading skills and preparing you to run bigger stuff. We'll also take time to identify "friendly" features and practice surfing waves, playing holes, and self-rescue [not necessarily in that order].Cost: $145 per person (Subtract $30 if you are an ACA Member)
