Holiday Party

• December 6, 2008 (Izaak Walton League - same location as last year)
• Jeff will email his group list of Art who will send a mass email invitation
• Allan will ask Dave to post the information on the website
• Those attending are asked to bring something (food) to share

Canoe U

• The first weekend will take place at Norway Point in St. Croix State Park
• Graduation weekend will be held at Robinson Park in Sandstone, MN
• Brian Z. will take care of contacting Sandstone's City Council and completing the insurance certificate and any other required paperwork
• Alan will reserve 2 port-a-potties and purchase jugs of water
• Chad will reserve the pool for a 4 hour pool session two weeks prior
• Nora will organize the Survivor's Party

Pool Sessions
Nov. 24, 2008-April 5, 2009
Sundays from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Brooklyn Center Community Center
Excludes Jan. 4, 2009
We will hold two rolling sessions An extra rolling session may be held one week prior to Canoe U
Chad and Missy will check into pool availability
A vote was held regarding the number of strokes/skills clinics we will have this year
The proposal was for one clinic and 11 members approved (1 nay)
We will also host a rescue rodeo and a demo night this winter
Kayak polo will be available (nets will be stored at the pool)

Treasury Report by Allan
Pool sessions will be pre-paid
Alan would like to add Chad's name to the bank account
Our "healthy" balance allows us to give back to our community

Federal nonprofit status
Brian, Andrew, and Art will collaborate on this

Gear Swap
Rosie and Kathy are organizing this.
This item was tabled due to a lack of information and representation.

Adopt-a-Highway
Tina proposed "adopting" the stretch of highway near the Banning exit
Tina will look into this and bring information to our December meeting (party)

Pop-up Tent/Shelter
Alan proposed purchasing a self-standing tent/shelter to use at events
Alan will research the cost
Chad will contact Aaron Saude re: getting our logo on the tent
